The Michigan Press Association, Gannett Company, Inc., Scripps Media, Inc. (as owner and operator of WXYZ-TV in Detroit), the Detroit News, Inc., The Macomb Daily, and The Rail joined the Public Citizen in Michigan Appeals Court filing an amicus brief supporting the position that the Thomas M. Cooley Law School should not be entitled to proceed with their frivolous claims and should be subjected to scrutiny under the widely accepted constitutional Dendrite standard. Gannet Company is the largest U.S. newspaper publisher as measured by total daily circulation. Its assets include the national newspaper USA Today and the weekly USA Weekend.
